This is just an average recommended measurement provided by the manufacturer to help you determine what will work best for your size room. Some Examples: a) If your room is 180 Square Feet, you may consider using two of these units. b) If your room is 91 to 159 Square Feet, you may consider using a 90 CFM unit and 70 CFM unit. c) If your room is between 181 Square Feet and 270 Square Feet, you may consider using three of these units.
