Removable bracket allows uniformity of bulbs when installing more than one unit in the same room. Removable bracket also allows for a very slight tilt of bulb. With a PAR20 Bulb: you'll get a 10 degree tilt. With an R20 Bulb: you'll get a 15 degree tilt. If you do NOT want any tilt simply discard the bracket. One of the biggest headaches is making sure all your bulbs are the same height when installing more than one trim/bulb in the same room. With the removable bracket that comes FREE with this trim, you can use it to make sure that all your bulbs are in the exact same placement / position.
