A 2" UV Glass Disc (shown to the right) is included with this trim. It simply snaps into the front of the bulb area. It is specially coated to protect your valuables against harmful UV Rays which result in fading. It is known that UV Rays are the single largest part of the fade factor. They account for 40% of fade whereas actual visible light only accounts for 25% of fade. Please Note: As it is always hard to capture clear glass in an image (because its clear), we do assure you that this UV filtered glass disc is 100% clear and will not affect the light output from your bulb. Image on the left is of this Adjustable Retractable Trim with the glass disc installed in front of the bulb. Notice how this clear disc only covers the bulb area and NOT the entire trim opening. The disc you receive may or may not be marked with UV Filter label. It depends on the manufacturer.
