HOW MUCH SHOULD I BUY?

We did some measurements and came up with averages based on the type of fixture you are using the vine for.

Our average Spot Lights (click here for our spot lights) will require about 16 - 24 inches of vine to nicely cover. You may end up using less or more depending on how "tight" or how much you space your turns of the vine. In other words, if you leave almost no space and basically cover the entire fixture with the vine, you will obviously need more vine.

Our average Area & Pathway Lights (click here for our area and pathway lights) will require about 36 - 48 inches of vine to nicely cover. You may end up using less or more depending on how "tight" or how much you space your turns of the vine. This will also depend on which area of your pathway or area light you want to cover, meaning you may decide to want to wrap the vine only around the stem, arm, top, or the entire fixture. The amount of vine you need will also depend on how much you space your turns of the vine.

These measurements are only an estimate. The actual amount you will need will vary depending on the exact dimensions of your fixture, how close you wrap the vine around the fixture, and any other possible factors. Just use your common sense, and buy a little extra just in case. And, keep in mind, if you cut the vine too short, you can simply butt another piece to the end of it - you will hardly be able to notice the separation should you make this error.

VINES IN ACTION
Below are some examples of fixtures with our vines. Some, we made, and some were sent to us by our customers. We provided these strictly as samples and as a way to provide you with some ideas. Have fun with them and simply use your own imagination! We do NOT offer the service of installing the vines on any of our fixtures as we have found this to cause problems in packing. Plus, it is always better that you do the job yourself because not only do you save labor costs, but the finished product ends up the way YOU want it. You may buy the vines from us and use them on your existing fixtures, fixtures you purchase elsewhere, or of course, any of our fixtures we offer here on our website.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Easy to Install If you can hang a picture, you can attach a vine to your fixture!
Many Available Options to Affix to your Fixture:
a) The Screw Mounting Process (see below)
b) Adhesives (silicone, velcro, certain glues, etc.)
The above options will really depend on the type of fixture, where the fixture is located and your vine pattern. You will have to use your best judgement when affixing to your fixture.

PLEASE NOTE: Be careful when installing the vines as they may scratch your fixture's finish We are obviously NOT responsible if this happens. It's easy to avoid this by simply taking your time when installing. Also, be cautious of overly bending the vines because as with any soft and flexible material, they will eventually break! And if do you happen to break the vine, you can simply butt the pieces together - you will hardly be able to notice the separation should you make this error. Plus it may just add a realistic and natural look! Afterall, there is nothing perfect or mechanical in nature.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The below instructions and images and the above information is provided simply as a courtesy and nothing more. We do not endorse or offer any recommendations on installation. We highly suggest the use safety glasses, gloves, and common sense when using any power tools. We are not responsible if you damage the vines or the fixtures in any manner. Below courtesy sample instructions were shown attaching the vine by screwing it in to your fixture. Customers have given us feedback installing them using silicone, velcro, and other adhesives. This all really depends on the type of fixture, where the fixture is located and how you are laying out your vines. You will have to use your best judgement.

This all really depends on the type of fixture, where the fixture is located and how you are laying out your vines. You will have to use your best judgement.

STEP 1: Drill a small hole into your fixture where you want to start the vine. The size of the hole will depend on the size of the screw that you use.

STEP 2: Drill a small hole into one of the leaves of your vine. Again, the size of the hole will depend on the size of the screw that you use.

STEP 3: Now attach one end of your vine to the fixture using the holes you made. Wrap the vine to your desired pattern, and repeat these steps at the opposite end of the vine.

CLOSE UP OF SET SCREW
WHEN COMPLETED

Above, we used a Brass 1/4" Long Screw. This size seems to be ideal for this particular fixture. However, the length of the screw you will need will depend on the fixture you're using and the shape you're trying to achieve with the vines. Just make sure that the screw length is not too long for your application so as not to damage any components of your fixture. Also make sure that you use Non Rusting or Brass Screws. We highly suggest brass screws for the following reasons: 1) they'll never rust or corrode and 2) in a very short time, they will naturally age and patina which will blend in nicely with any color vine. These screws can be picked up at almost any local hardware store.

All Colors are ONLY Available in 4 Foot Sections
but YOU can cut them to Any Size you like once you receive them
We do NOT offer shorter or longer sizes
